Des Kleineibst has been a professional advertising photographer in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa since 1980 and internationally since 1999..
He specializes in CGI, shooting cars and trucks in studio and on location for above and below the line as well as QTVR for websites.
Landscapes and textures in nature are his other passions.
Des has become recognized as one of the best automotive specialists producing exceptional commercial images for almost every brand of car and truck on the South African market.
Des is based in Cape Town where he shoots on location because of the fantastic range of locations and light, he regularly commutes to Johannesburg to shoots cars in one of his purpose built car studios.
Des has been shooting High end Digital, using PhaseOne and Hasselblad for over 9 years, at present P45 and H3D (39 MP).
In 2008 he ventured into the exciting world of CGI by investing in Spheron HDR and Panoscan Camera Systems and opened his in house CGI studio and he is loving the new and exciting challenge.
By owning all his own equipment and keeping everything inhouse he can offer superlative creative images at a realistic cost.
Des co-developed his own carbon fiber rig that extends up to 10 metres.
Numerous awards over the years including New York Festival , Ilford Profoto Photographer of the year and Automotive photographer of the year Gold Awards, Fujifilm Photographer of the year and Automotive Photographer of the year.
An EEC passport is conducive to shooting European assignments.
He is seeking representation world wide by photographic agents with car experience and contacts.
